My Mother's Kitchen Table

Every weekend, my mother’s kitchen table was surrounded by aunts, uncles, family and friends, blood and chosen. Some loud, some quiet. Some certain, some still finding their way. Everyone was different. Everyone belonged. Nobody had to leave themselves at the door. There was love and laughter. Stories and disagreements. That’s what made it so rich. I want to spread that same kind of love.
